Famous Gourmets
Santa Lucia is, without a doubt, the place with the
highest concentration of celebrities, that special one which attracts
the highest number of famous faces. There isn't an actor, singer or
artists who doesn't find time to stop to Santa Lucia and to honor
the typical dishes from native Campania when passing
through the Eternal City.
Some examples? During the never-ending filming of Gangs of New
York at Cinecittà, Martin Scorsese and Leo di Caprio were a permanent
fixture at the restaurant, imitated by Rupert Everett, Ridley Scott, Sofia Loren,
Dante Ferretti, Bernardo Bertolucci and Harvey Keitel, who flew to Santa Lucia
with his new wife to celebrate their recent wedding.
Bill Clinton has been back many a time with his daughter Chelsea,
while Kirstie Alley (the actress of "Look Who's Talking" fame that
co-starred John Travolta) gave the paparazzi the international finger sign having
been spotted leaving the restaurant.
Giorgio Armani is a fan of Santa Lucia's kitchen, especially of
the Salerno free range chicken. Among the home-grown divas there's Mariangela
